Intentional Energy

What are you doing and why are you doing it?

When you have a solid answer to these questions — an answer that feels good to you, and aligns with your intentions in life and relationships -- you're firmly in your centre. You're unshakeable.

It's a great feeling.

When you don't have an answer to these questions, you might feel lost, confused, angry, bored, depressed, insignificant, victimized, defensive, sluggish, foggy, etc. Not great feelings.

You might also feel like you have no choice when it comes to where you share your energy, or with whom.

These are very relatable feelings, and they're worth examining.

Two hard truths you might wish were different:

1) Unconscious choices are still choices.

Most of our choices are unconscious (programming, conditioning, etc.).

We tend to operate on auto-pilot, and when we do pay attention we limit our options with our endlessly inaccurate assumptions about The Way Things Are.

The world opens up in unbelievable ways when you bring more intention here.

2) Sometimes your options will feel awful.

But even faced with a choice between options you hate, HOW you show up and WHY are well within your purview.

Being consciously aware of our intentions creates meaning, dissipates resentment, lightens the mood and deepens the ways in which we relate.

Make time to connect with what you're doing and why you're doing it — it's powerful.
