Positive Projections & Being Seen
You'll recognize it in your body if you're paying attention — that inflated ego feeling, like a peacock all puffed up and strutting its stuff.
"Thank you, thank you, what an impressive creature I am! Please, no autographs."
A very different sensation than the simple, easy feeling of being seen, understood and appreciated.
The difference between being loved through a lens of positive projections, and being loved for who you are.

I should say that the strutting peacock stage is also very important.
Many of us have been hidden, and under-appreciated as a result. We've denied ourselves the heaping helpings of selfish attention we've been so hungry for, often for years and years and years.
Learning to receive love, appreciation, and positive feedback — even if it's in the form of a false or partial projection — is part of becoming a whole person.
(If you're the other sort, who defaults to strutting peacock, your medicine will look different — but the positive projections lesson still applies.)
*
Positive projections feel good to the ego, and incomplete to the higher Self.
When the core desire is to be seen and loved in your entirety, the truth becomes more important than even the nicest feeling ego-stroke.
So breathe, and remember yourself.
And if you're letting projections roll off your back, let them all go. They're not yours anyway.
