We Want You (Yes You)
I'm talking about the YOU beneath all the ego mechanisms you've built to protect your heart, and to establish a place in the chaos of existence.✨

Consider, if you will, the amateur musicians at open mic night in a small, cozy speakeasy.
There's always a performer who's talented and terrified — their beautiful voice and skillful hands diminished to almost nothing as they try to escape the stage using only their minds and energy. Working so hard to hide, while standing in the spotlight.
Hey: we can see you. You sound great but this hidey discomfort thing is an absolute cringe festival! And wholly unnecessary because, as I mentioned, you're in a spotlight on a stage — and even if you weren't we'd still be able to see you.
Besides, the way you look and sound hardly matters at all. It's your energy we crave.

Then there's the performer who's off-key, can barely play their instrument, and is utterly thrilled with themselves, their performance, and generally being a ham.
This person is an easy delight to witness — cringe or no cringe. We feel them, which is all we really want (IMO).
A palpable display of open energy, with no barriers to connection. No fancy mental footwork needed to understand how to interact, no need to create comfort (an often impossible task) — it's just a presentation to be enjoyed if you like it, or not if you don't.
Judgment is not attached to this experience — it's visceral SELF, and it's all any of us wants to see from each other. In personal interactions, and increasingly in professional ones.
A true application of authenticity.
Meditation and shadow work are my standard prescriptions, and this is no exception. Get out of your head and into your body. Work to uncover what's inhibiting you, and free yourself to be seen.
I know being seen is scary...but you're already doing it, all the time!
I want to see more.
