Was That On Purpose?

Simple questions, important answers.

If you know why you're doing what you're doing — especially when it's a big why — then presumably you're living with intention.

Presumably, you've examined your actions, and are taking subsequent actions to further a purpose — maybe love, or self-honouring, or being of service, or fulfilling your life purpose.

Do you know what you're doing?

Do you know why you're doing it?

If you're feeling listless or lost or purposeless or unsatisfied, a little examination (or a lot) could be part of a solution for you.

Look at what you're doing, and ask yourself why you're doing it. Is there a reason? A purpose?

Could there be?

When I have to pee, I go pee. When I am thirsty, I drink.

These sound like little things, but they're not. I used to hold it, and ignore my thirst -- because I just had to finish this one thing (which took 8 hours), or because someone needed me to do _____.

I ignored myself and my needs in favour of others. As a result, eventually, I couldn't identify or manage my own needs, and unconsciously expected others to do it for me (quietly and resentfully, like I was doing for them 😂😭).

Me peeing and drinking when I need to is attached to much bigger, conscious WHYS:

Self-remembering and -honouring — i.e. healthy boundaries — which are vital for me to love and trust others. I have to love and trust myself first.

These basics are fundamental for having healthy lives and relationships...and yet often we're not even aware of them.

My peeing when I have to pee means I'll be better at maintaining boundaries in partnership, at expressing myself authentically in life, and at doing good things for myself and others generally.

Big why for a little pee 🙂

Don't hold it, friends. Connect with your various purposes, make conscious choices, and be ALIVE.
